At our March meeting, we held our first ever member competition. It was
a wonderful way for us to showcase our favorite knitted pieces for a little friendly competition with our fellow knitters.
All the pieces were so lovely, it was really tough to decide which ones were our favorites. There were categories for new
knitters, home knitting, purses and bags, lace knitting, shawls, sweaters and accessories. Julie Pitts took first place
in the lace category as well as Best in Show for her amazing and intricate Estonian white lace shawl. The competition
was a lot of fun for everyone and a great way to get ideas for future projects as well as inspiration and to admire the wonderful
finished pieces of our fellow guild members up close. The guild overwhelmingly agreed that we would like to have another
competition next year, so start planning your projects for next year’s competition!
