January 19 -- Fiber Festivals -- meet and greet 6:00pm, meeting 6:30pm.
Cheryl will tell us about her many adventures touring the country and vending at several Fiber Festivals.
February 16 -- Table Top Techniques -- meet and greet 6:00pm, meeting 6:30pm. Many members will be teaching a table top technique that falls in their expertise. Meeting Cancellation Policy: Since it looks like winter isn't going to quit for a while, we thought we needed to make sure everyone knows how to tell if an NGKG Meeting is cancelled. The simple answer is: if Cherokee County Schools are closed, we're cancelled,even if we think they're crazy for cancelling. Since our members live all over the area, we needed a concrete way to make the decision, and this is it. If the weather looks iffy, you can check the status of the meeting in several ways: 1. NGKG Website 2. NGKG Ravelry group 3. Check your email -- A NGKG Members Email will go out as soon as we hear that schools are closed. 4. Cherokee County Schools main office: 770-479-1871 5. Check local radio and TV stations for school closing information. Driving Directions From north of Woodstock: Travel south on I-575 to Exit 8, Towne Lake Parkway Woodstock. Get in the far right lane and turn right on to Towne Lake Parkway. Stay in the right lane on Towne Lake Parkway through 5 traffic signals for about 1.5 miles. (The blinking yellow light does not count as a traffic signal.) Just after you pass Wellstar Towne Lake Medical Center on your right, shift to the near right lane. Follow this lane as it bears right. You are still on Towne Lake Parkway. Continue in the right lane through 3 lights for about 2.3 miles. As you head up a hill, you will pass a subdivision called the Estates on your right. Immediately after that is the right turning escape lane for Hillside United Methodist Church. If you miss the turn, go to the light and turn right on to Rose Creek Drive. Then turn right immediately to enter the church parking lot. Park towards the back and east side of the church. Enter the church on the east side. From south of Woodstock: Travel north on I-575 to Exit 8, Towne Lake Parkway Woodstock. Get in the middle lane (near left turn lane) and turn left on to Towne Lake Parkway.
