“Beat the Heat Day Retreat”    

Saturday, July 24, 10am-6pm at Kensington Farm Clubhouse

Who says you can’t knit in the summer?  Come into the air-conditioning and enjoy the company of your fellow knitters.  We’ll be eating, chatting, and playing with cool knitting toys as we take a break from July in Georgia.  Activities will include playing with drop spindles, trying out square needles, making knitting accessories, and more.  All you need to join the fun is $10 and a dish to share.  We’ll be having sign-ups at the July meeting, or you can RSVP with Adrienne Bracker at abracker@mindspring.com  or (770) 846-0782.

Finishing Workshop with Nancy Barke

The class cost is $25, and you’ll need to knit the following homework before the class:  4-4” square stockinette swatches, and 2-4” square garter stitch swatches.  Make them in a light-colored worsted weight yarn, and bring enough of that yarn to class for seaming practice.
